Little Miss Pout
New Year and small dollops of bravery. I asked Blip Forum what I should buy with my promised Christmas Photography gift and received lots of great advice. Some I had considered and other bits I hadn't even got to. Very interesting. One piece of advice which I have acted on was to buy a book about my camera and try to explore its potential more with a view to really getting to know it. Who da thawt that you could get a book specifically for a Sony A350.
Its not the best bedtime reading I've ever had, but if I go to sleep thinking about it, then I have half an hour or so in the morning to check it out against the camera before other demands creep in, I may actually learn something.
Today I wanted to try the portraiture setting. My boy and girl are getting more used to sitting here doing this, that blah blah blah. I'm reasonably pleased with this shot, it seems fairly well focussed and I love too that it converted well to black and white. Any advice or critic welcomed.
My girl of course hates this shot as it shows everything she hates about herself - her hair is a mess, her eyes have no make-up, her lips look big. All the things that define her as beautiful she can't see yet. Oh the Angst of a teen.
