nothing remarkable but....

precisely...a terrible photo, but a few hours before this was taken, the door on the left stood where the bricks. A couple in the house are restructuring and have moved this door so that it now opens into a huge room and with the garden beyond, rather than opening into a dingy corridor. But the point of all this is that the workmen did all this in a matter of three hours, with so little mess, and great affability. You see, it can be done.
Oh one day I must take a close up of the stained glass in the door as it is beautiful, and 140 years old.
