Landrover vs Elephant

In Sri Lanka, on an elephant safari, we learned a useful fact: Landrovers can accelerate faster than large elephants.

Just.

This big female elephant probably thought we were getting a bit close to her calf - so charged, and our driver got us away pretty quickly.

Wonderful to see these wild elephants in their own environment: with us in a small cage running away from them. How it should be, I think.
