My friend from Sudan

This week end is the start of 5 weeks long referendum in the largest African country, the referendum was put on the table only at the end of a two-decade civil war with the north, in which an estimated two million people lost their lives. Many more were forced from their homes. The idea of the referendum is to split the country in half, (Muslim North, Christian South).
My friend is a refugee, away from family, friends and culture, he has started a new life here, and I wish him well.
