Chemistry and Girona 2.0

From Palau, on a wonderful January Saturday, one can see at the same time three key items of Girona's landscape: the former Chemical Factory chimney, one of its ironcast chemical containers (foreground), and the main phone company tower built around 1992, the year of the Barcelona Olympic Games. I wonder whether the microwave radiation from the communications tower is able to penetrate inside this large, early-20th century balloon.
