Blooming Christmas

Yes, our Christmas Cactus (star of a previous blip) has managed one last bloom and here it is.

Lighting is care of an LED torch waved around front and back to get the effect I wanted. Camera was mounted on a new tripod I bought today, to use when I don't need the versatility of my old Benbo Trekker which can be like fighting an octopus (I guess; I've never actually tried fighting an octopus). Used a boggo 50mm lens with a +2 close-up adapter on the front so I could get a bit closer.
