Lichen in the sunshine

A glorious walk in the sun this morning with the dogs, and to be frank the best picture was the German Shepherd dog before we left the house, just checking the camera. But he's been here before, so I was looking for something else. Lots of pictures of sun shining through the trees in the forest, but I can have that most days of the year. So I went with the lichen, which my wife spotted and I may well not have, and would be unlikely to again - she has a much better eye for small things than me - I'm looking at the trees and she's seeing the tiny plant life.
