Thistle Down

Idaho

Men talk of many places,
Of interests that they know.
But I...raise up my voice,
In praise of Idaho.

For in my ways of living,
It really does me well.
To utter true expressions,
That are on my tongue to tell.

'Cause in my general thinking,
She's enrichment to her land.
In all her ways of dealing,
She is glorious...she is grand.

Her beauty is surprising,
And our vision...it is fine.
The skyline of her silver peaks,
Holds to a timber-line.

She has so much of nature's-gifts,
In her range-lands and her streams.
And her rich and fertile vallies,
Are an answer to men's dreams.
