Bonanza...

.....flip it was cold on the hill today.

Judo with Owen this morning followed by a trip to the newsagent at Kemp's Corner; we lived close to Kemp's Corner when Owen was a baby before the family migration to the centre ville. Kemp was a Victorian merchant from Orkney, who settled in Edinburgh and traded with his brothers back home in the islands.

Then we collected LLCoolJim, Mum and Jacob and ventured on to the much recommended Corstorphine Hill for some sledging......nae bad, but it wasn't long before the lads were shouting to go to Hillend at Lothianburn......steeper hills you see.

The wind chill was windy and chilly and adults stood about watching young chap tomfoolery before our toes blackened and dropped off.

Back to the centre ville again via Cafe Nero and a stroppy Morningside retired madam who pushed ahead of us to secure her hubby and her 5 chairs and two tables.....classic Tory Morningside "fuck you" behaviour.

Later, LLCoolJim, Eduardo and I chewed the fat in the Beard and Cardigan over a pint or two of the appropriately named Avalanche beer.

Jolly good.
