wintery beach

we must be crazy going to the beach on such a freezing cold day - but aberdeenshire beaches are so ace that it's always worth it. well, I say always, but last year we visited balmedie beach to get a look at the poor sperm whale that had washed up onto the shore having lost its way. It was a cold, windy, rainy day and after we saw it we all got back to the car soaked to the skin, frozen, all three kids crying and stinking of dead whale juice. that trip to the beach wasn't really worth it. but it's the only one...

today was lovely - huge waves, freezing but no wind and a setting sun...we were soaking it all up while we can before trump concretes over it and builds a shopping mall...grrrrrr.

we also had a top night at the leggats tonight. thanks lisa & gav, ace fun as always!
