Police Incident - Witness Appeal
Ozian Police are investigating the death of Ms W Witch from the West area of Oz after a freak tornado that no forecaster had predicted caused a house to land on her. At a press conference earlier today Head of Oz Police, Chief Inspector Munchkin, released the following statement:
Despite the weather elements we believe this incident to be no accident. Our CSI team have recovered evidence at the scene including an oil can, some straw and strands of lion hair which lead us to conclude this is the work of a gang. We are appealing for witnesses who were in or around the Yellow Brick Road area at 10am this morning to help us with our investigations. The Ruby Red slippers seen in the image captured on CCTV camera earlier today have since been stolen from the crime scene and we would appeal for anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward. Based on current witness reports the suspects we are looking for are:
One female of average height with brown hair and wearing a blue and white checked dress, believed to be carrying a small dog
One man made of tin reported to squeak when he walks
One lion reported to have a nervous disposition
One Scarecrow who was initially seen running in the opposite direction from the rest of the gang. Police do not believe him to be the brains behind the operation
If you have any information please call the Incident line.
Police would also like to remind everyone to not to enter any poppy fields until they have been authorised as safe zones.
I'll go with this as my entry for the WBC theme of Incident.
