The Valles Caldera National Preserve

Joseph and I skied while 4 of our friends snowshoed around this beautiful snowy preserve. It was a gorgeous day. Afterward we stopped for cocoa in Jemez Springs at the Laughing Lizard Cafe. We returned home after sundown.

We were all blissfully unaware that 19 people had been shot in Arizona in an assassination attempt on a congresswoman in Tucson. 6 are dead. I am shaken.
