Thank goodness I don't mind looking slightly daft - these have been a revelation and a liberation after years of slithering around on icy pavements (why don't we all clear them anymore?) and on one occasion breaking my wrist.

Marched fearlessly to Goldenacre to buy croissants this morning - hoorah says younger son, who chummed me.
