Sunday: Boudicca and Big Ben
Finally - a decent day in London! Since I have started blipping, I have become so much more aware of the light, and have been really frustrated with how grey and damp everything has been. But today was such a nice day that before going home I took a quick detour down to the river to take this picture.
I love this statue of Boudicca (or Boadicea as she was known, when I was younger) and really like the myth that surrounds her. Urban myth has it that she was buried where St Pancras now stands, between platforms 9 and 10, hence platform 9 3/4 being of significance to Harry Potter readers.
My nearly blip was a grainy shot of our resident mouse at work. We have two mice, Fatty and Rexy, who are pretty bold. Fatty was much in evidence last night and was willing to be photographed, but, in the end Boudicca won the day!
