Snow Stage

Like big kids, we went to see the Snowman at the Festival Theatre tonight. The show was great. Apart from the scary snowmen that had clown-like horror film faces, it's a great wee story and the stage show was very well done. We weren't the only older children in the place, in fact there were more adults than children.

Highlights were the Scottish snowman in his kilt who sorted out the slightly nasty Jack Frost with a subtle Glesgie Kiss (head butt). (Jack Frost isn't in the original story so he needed sorting out). The dancing penguins were good and the girl selling ice cream at the interval was quite nice too. ;o)

I wasn't allowed to take pics during the show, so this is the stage just after Mr Snowman had flown back to the North Pole. The wee streaks around the stage are snow done by a lighting effect, which looked a lot better when you were there!
