The Heavy Gang
A foul and grey day today and not one for outdoor photography at all. I had some business at the bank (yes, one of those which as a citizen of this beleagured state, I am now part owner) so I had to go into town. Otherwise I could easily have remained under the duvet. Naturally, since I had to go out, the cameras came with me. One SLR, which remained in its bag, and a compact, which did emerge and with which I shot this. Why on earth blip a construction gang I hear you ask?
Well, hoping to find some hardy soul battling through the rain and wind past my "window on the world", I made a bee line for my usual spot only to find this! A veritable building site. No access. Everything ripped up and the heavy gang, also known as the yellow brigade, not very hard at work. I have no idea what they are up to, probably strengthening the sea defences, but I just hope the net result isn't the destruction of one of my favourite blipping haunts. Time will tell.
