Cheerfulness

This is a little narcissus called Cheerfulness. I planted 5 of them in a pot in November. I have had it on the kitchen windowsill and have been talking nicely to it, speaking kind words of encouragement and low and behold, this morning here it is, flowering!

I hope it is an omen for the coming year!

Had a great time last night, at a village party in the hall. Everyone took food and drink, and there was champagne and party poppers and live music. Nice to see everyone, from the very young to the pretty old, enjoying themselves. Mr P, who is not a party animal, came and picked me up just after the bells, and we went home for a wee dram.

Today I am off to first foot my neighbours - but as it is a wild, wet and windy day I shall be in the car so it will be quite a sober affair!
