What The Trees Know

So I had to get up early today because I forgot to drop the car off for it's service last night. It did have the bonus though of meaning I was driving home just as the sun was rising. I was going mostly along my usual route to work, where everyday I think - that would make a nice photo; I must come back on a day off and shoot that etc, but never get round to it.

Well today I caught this big old tree that I've always admired. There was a lovely warm sky behind it, so I was expecting to do a brightly coloured HDR shot, but I just loved the way it looked a little closer up and in black and white.

What the trees know? What would I know!
