Medaille d'Or

I toook some pictures at lunchtime near the office but the results were poor, so this piano is what you might call an 'emergency blip'. I don't know much about its history but it's been in S's family as long as anyone can remember, so would have been bought in Derbyshire originally. It hasn't been tuned for a couple of years but doesn't sound too bad. Despite its French origin, I don't think I can pretend that Erik Satie or Claude Debussy have ever been near it.

I like the medieval font used for the heading of the maker's plate.
