Piano man

After a big sleep, we had a lovely easy day at home before welcoming Matt and Nat and Poppy for a few days. HB did himself proud with a scrumptious game casserole and sweet potato pie for dinner. Then it was off to the local pub to bring in the New Year. We'd never been there before but it was great fun. A bit quirky inside. Friendly staff and punters. Musical instruments for anyone to have a go! This is me being taught a tune by one of the locals. When he left, I practiced the first few notes of Auld Lang Syne so that I could help get the song going at the bells. It worked! Not that you could hear more than the first couple of notes though - we'd all already been singing for a while and didnt need much encouragement!

What a fab and totally pleasant way to start 2011 ;)
