Snowy day!

The snow was snowing,
The wind was blowing,
And I was feeling the cold!

This hungry doe, munching on a prickly-looking twig, was feeling the cold too, but when I went for my photo walk this afternoon, I found her and the rest of the herd out and about, searching for food instead of bedded down as I expected them to be.

It reminded me of the other day when it was snowing. The grocery store was crowded with shoppers, just when you would expect them to be at home watching the snow fall from inside their warm houses. Maybe we aren't so different from the wild animals after all.
