Emulation
is the sincerest form of flattery.
I found it! The old Argus that Mr. M's dad gave me in 1983 appeared during a organizing session. He realised that I love taking pictures, and up until then I was winging it with this crappy marvel. I have boxes and boxes of grainy pictures that were taken with it.
The Argus took great, clear pictures, including some cool double exposures that I probably chucked out because I thought they were flawed at the time.
I didn't take this with that Argus though. Certain blippers I admire would have known that from the get go because they are aficianados at this sort of thing. Some day I might fire up the boxy little number that looks and feels like a brick with a few buttons glued to it. I might even purposely forget to wind the film on.
This is a double shot of 85 year old Lois's house across the street. I've told you about her before and how much I adore her. I neglected to hug her goodbye before they left for their overwintering trip to Florida. Now, all I can nervously think about is that I can't wait for April to arrive so she can return.
