Green Eggs and Ham

I read Green Eggs and Ham to T last night. It was exciting because he's learned some of the words in it ("I do not like", for instance) and could read them aloud. During the book, T asked me if I could really make green eggs and ham. I said: Sure, we do have food coloring.
So this morning, before school, I made it. He decided he didn't care to have the ham green. And we compromised by making the whites green and leaving the yolks yellow (in the book the yolks are green and the whites, white). It was 6:30am and we had to get to school so there was not time for perfection. He thought I was very clever, none the less.
We had such a great weekend together. He's growing into such a smart, thoughtful boy.
