Winter Walk

We went for a walk today
to the park
where we spent a lot of time last summer
and fall.

It was snowy, icy and cold.

We didn't stop at the playground
but went into the library before heading home.

I don't know the name of this bird
huddling under the tree
but it looked frozen
as did it's mates of same kind
while the ducks seemed contented
living on the ice...
