Too Shiny

Visited our friends this afternoon, had a good chat and saw the new bits he is making for his latest model. Beautifully made, to perfect scale, BUT!! In my opinion a Capstan and sail winches were never that shiny clean, even when they were just made, let alone after any use whatsoever. I like my boats to look " Lived in", but then I have never won a prize for them either..........
