Found a spot of time to dust countertops and furniture, move things about a bit-- according to Feng Shui practitioners, a good idea so that new energies can re-circulate throughout the household at the beginning of the new year.

This little dumpling of a clay soprano (well, I imagine that she is) sings her heart out under our potted fortune plant. Or, perhaps she opens her mouth anticipating the first drop of dew to fall from a leaf at dawn.
