Fashion Over Function?

These are favourite pair of shoes. I got them as a Christmas present two years ago. They are extremely comfortable, as all Converse are after a initial wearing in period.

They are however not very practical at times, especially when grip is needed.

I stepped out of the car this morning at work not noticing the black ice which sent me straight down to the floor.

Though I'd gotten away with only a sore knee but sure enough someone spotted me! Had to assure him I was fine whilst limping to the front door. So in the end turns out I bruised my ego too!

I'll still wear them tomorrow, they're just so damn comfy!
