Austere

An architecturally inexplicable piece of landscaping in lieu of a building's ground floor on Colinton Road. This odd space is largely redundant; the only people who make use of it are occasional well-heeled (this is Merchiston after all) skateboarders.

But I like the starkness of the patterns the slabs make in the low winter sun. Its austerity is congruent with my mood right now.
