Lost

I spotted this photograph sitting amid the leaf litter today and it made me wonder why...why it was there, for starters. Had it been lost or discarded? Did the photo bring back achingly sad memories for the owner and they just couldn't bear to look at it again? Or did someone simply drop it, perhaps while sitting on the nearby bench, showing a friend their precious grand child?

We will never know.

PS: I turned my image upside down because I thought it more poignant that way...
