By the seaside ...
Today we did more exploring of Chiloe and got a ferry across to one of the little islands on the east side and drove all the way to the headland where there was a little village, a beach and a mad dog. It was much prettier and more how we imagine Chiloe would be. I was very brave and ordered Oysters (very slurpy) for lunch, which we had by the sea.
Back to mainland Chile tonight - we got a great room in Frutillar with views of the lake - but we haven´t had a clear morning yet to see anything. Staying in a creaky old house run by a nice German lady. We are getting by speaking a bit of German, spanish and English - sometimes all in one sentence.
