Fear & Loathing

flower

it's a lilly i think. don't really care it was in the house and today i HAD to do a flower blip. i made a deal yesterday with lynncus2gether after a weird de ja vu sort of moment. so you have to get over and check out lynns marble pic today.

i almost had to back out of our deal as today while i was out and about i stumbled upon a jive band plaing outside the glades shopping centre in bromley. they were fantastic. i'm just glad i wasn't with my mum or i would have been dancing out in the street. my mum does like to jive (must be her age). actually it's not, for as long as i can remember my bro and i, mostly me i might add, have been forced to jive with my mum every chance she gets. this may sound like a complaint but i love it really. it's nice to have something special like that.
anyway the band was great, even when it started to rain they showed a sense of humour by breaking into a rendition of "singing in the rain" but with a jive twist. it might sound a little odd but it worked well. they fairly brightened up a rather dreary day. i will try and add a link to my flickr account later for anyone wishing to see the other possible blip for today. oh they were called "the jive aces". if you get a chance go and see them. i am by no means a jive fan but trust me they are worth a listen.

i got speaking to one of the guys there as they are linked to the church of scientology and were helping to promote a say no to drugs campaign. he was a nice bloke and in no way preachy, which is a good thing. i have no problem with people having their beliefs just don't harp on at me about it. religion just isn't my bag baby. anyway he introduced me to the band when they took a quick break and they were all very nice blokes.
a thought did occur to me thought that if it wasn't for blip i would not have had this encounter. you see as i was listening i was taking a lot of shots. shots of the band and the people dancing in the street. these were actual shoppers not part of the band. anyway, as i was trying to get some shots, this bloke (nick) walked over to me and said i could go right in front of the stage to get some shots if i wanted. so i took him up on the offer and once i was finished he asked if he could have a look. well the rest of the tale you know as i sort of came in at the middle of it at the start of this blip.
as i was saying though another nice moment in life brought on because of blip.
i have to say blip has been a very positive thing in my life, cheers joe
