For reasons that are far from apparent, a massive hole appeared in the only stretch of walkable pavement in Maadi.

It's been like this for months, and will no doubt continue to be like this for months to come.

Just down from this, a dog has given birth to seven puppies, and therefore chases and barks like crazy at anyone who walks past.

Just down the road from that, another collection of dogs just chase and bark for the hell of it.

Between all this lies enough rubbish to start a recycling centre, a wall that doubles as a public toilet for taxi drivers and security staff, and a road so busy that in order to cross it you have to literally walk out in front of the traffic and hope it slows down.

This street represents this city.

I hate this fucking street.
