4 Inches higher than yesterday
Back to the Lomonds today, this time with skis on feet. A nice couple of inches of powder have been added overnight, enough to make the tussock just skiable.
Discovered one of my poles was broken as I left the truck, but still skinned up to near the summit of East Lomond before doing some first-of-the-season wobbly one-poled-turns back down again.
Added to my repertoire of skills by figuring out how to get through a small kissing-gate without removing my skis...
Nevis was as usual loving the snow, bounding through it, tossing it in the air and occasionally having one of his mad-half-hour turns where he manically runs with both back feet together and his bum under him - almost like a crazed giant rabbit.
