Windy ...

..... and perishingly cold today - but then you would expect that if you visited a wind farm wouldn't you?

This is the third time that I've visited Whitelee and the third time that I've managed to arrive when the visitors centre has been closed. To be fair, I could have checked online but I was out in the car and I just decided at the last minute.

Any artistic pretensions for a quality blip shrivelled in the biting wind and although I did take a few photos, I thought that this one of a single blade from one of these bad boys would convey the scale. The turbines extend for as far as the eye can see - I believe it's the biggest wind farm in Europe.
