SATISFIED

My mum is satisified after a long day and evening together with my family.

She has been for a long walk in the snow - and is satisfied despite the fact that she has nearly forgotten how one walks in snow.

She has been holding my hand long periods during the day - and is satisfied despite the fact that she has nearly forgotten that I'm the child and she is the mother.

She has been sitting in the kitchen watching me making dinner - and is satisfied despite the fact that she has forgotten the name of the different food.

She has been surrounded by her grandchildren - and is satisfied despite the fact that she can not attend the conversation when we are more than two or three.

She has enjoyed the meal - and is satisfied despite the fact she for many minutes could not figure out how to use the knife and the fork.

She has laughed, smiled and shown us her glimps of intelligent humour - and is satisfied despite the fact she many times didn't know where she was.

Some people say that those with Alzheimer live in their past - but my mom lives in the NOW and for the NOW.

Tomorrow it will be like this day and evening have never been, all is forgotten - and she will again and again be in the NOW
and the NOW
and the NOW.

Bless her!
