Cold feet

We were taking a walk with friends in old town Frederick (Maryland), when we came across these ducks (no doubt of the Canadian variety), chilling and grooming in the half frozen waters of the town's canal.

Wish I'd had my real camera to do a close up of the birds: their colors were spectacular!
