Sheepish Contraptioneer

A dark and stormy night outside Metro Garden

A friend wanted to see an overall view of Metro Garden, so out I went in the dark wind and rain to use a flash which I rarely use for photographs. One of our outdoor cats thought he could entice me into letting him into the warm shelter by peering in at me through the windshield, so I took him as an unexpected model in today's night-time Blip.

Here it is as I see it every day (except usually not in the dark, and rarely if ever driving down the road with a cat looking in. You see one of the water canisters in front of the cat, and the other mostly hidden behind the vegetation on the right.

The cat was quite persistent in his efforts to get inside, and I had many photos to choose from. I picked the one most flattering to the cat, seeing that I had the garden in place to possibly use for a blip another day.

I've thought of inviting a praying mantis in for photo ops, since we had them in our greenhouse when I was a child, but after reading up on them I didn't like their habits so much (females eating their mates and all, you know), so elected to stick to more benign garden visitors.
