puddles and sunshine
I sort of like problems at work. Whever a reasonably important one pops up it makes the rest of the day simple: get it sorted, saving you from the question of what to pick at next. They're especially handy when they take up the rest of the day until the time when I leave on a Friday when I'm not working the next week and have NINE mornings to spend doing whatever I please. Some of the daytimes will be spent installing plasterboard and laying flooring but that's a minor inconvenience.
Popped into the Cameo after work to catch Perfume; quite worth seeing though slightly more comedic than I had expected. Whishaw good, Hoffman shite (particularly at the accent), Rickman surprisingly unirritating though he still needs his larynx cleaning out. Cinematography good in places; lots of good skintones and dankness. Exit music quite listenable too although it was obviously going for the American Beauty style.
The large, noticeable stain on the screen one curtain is still there. I know it must be quite tricky to launder a 30-square-metre curtain but they could maybe use a wallpaper steamer like normal people. At least the damp, lingering smell in the front five rows has waned though it was still present and correct in screen 3 a few weeks ago. Still, if the film is good enough you don;t notice the smell after a few minutes.
Still raining at the moment. Don't mind rain in the slightest but it probably offends the camera so I hope it stops by the time morning comes.
Have a nice weekend...
