strange fruit

Have been enjoying the cape gooseberries this year - it has gone off and instead of the three edible gooseberries picked last year I am going through about three a day. It is in danger of choking out the passionfruit vine which has had to go high to avoid it.

Still can't figure out the CG flavour. It's a little like it should be poisonous. Speaking of poisonous here's something I didn't know about a seemingly harmless critter.

Oh, we also discovered we have a plum tree hidden away in the back yard today...
