Wow

What a day. After a very good meeting yesterday rented a bike and hit the road, or eight lane motorways to be precise!, and toured around Beijing. Wasn't really going to go in to the forbidden city but it was quiet, no queues and cheap so I wandered in.

Glad that I did. Incredibly beautiful and somehow really unspoilt. Makes every other temple I have seen in Japan and Korea look like a garden shed. That Emperor must have had good underwear. It was -4 today.

Been deeply impressed. Thanks Beijing. Long haul back for a bit of Golddust in Paris next, maybe Ill get her on a bike.
