Alan and Morag

We met Alan and Morag in Barcelona in 1995 and our friendship has grown from strength to strength. So much so, that they're almost like family. Alan gave Bb his big break into the corporate world and has also 'gently persuaded' him into doing other things like supervising lift installation works in the Crown Court Church of Scotland in London when we stayed here! Morag and I are also very good friends and we used to meet often for coffee and to put the world to rights when we all lived in Barcelona together. On one memorable occasion, Morag turned up at my school to take me out to lunch on my birthday at Bb's request as he was out of the country on business. I certainly wasn't dressed for the restaurant he'd booked and certainly didn't want a fuss. Luckily, by the time the birthday cake, sparklers and singing waiters arrived at our table, enough cava had been consumed to make it all hysterically funny! On a more serious note though, they really are stalwarts in our lives and we always enjoy our times together. Last night we met up in The Golden Hind fish and chip restaurant in Marylebone, which in our view is better than anything in Anstruther - and I'm a Fifer!
