Salvation

Today is a beautiful sunny day. I went for a quick stroll through the grounds of the Priory while en route to lunch. In a corner of the grounds towards the front of the building there is a very white statue of the Madonna.

It is surrounded by mature trees and really attracts the eye. The finish is slightly rough which gives the work an interesting quality.

Someone had left this flower as an offering.
