Colourful Case
This is part of a mini CD case, using a trick to show the internal stresses in the plastic as coloured patterns.
To do this I put the case in front of my computer monitor, and got that to show a completely white background. The light from an LCD monitor is polarised, and stresses in the plastic change the polarisation slightly. The final step is to use a polarising filter on the camera lens, and turn the filter till it blanks out the monitor light completely, then the object (anything made of hard, clear plastic) shows up in wonderful colours on a black background.
Just a tiny bit of PP to remove the "magic tape" holding the thing still. That was around the top hinge so I replaced with an inverted copy of the other hinge :-)
