this lovely life

my turn my turn my turn!

Since I've recently taken to completely stealing other people's ideas, today I am keeping with the theme. Deb blipped her calendar today, and as I wholeheartedly feel her "slave to the calendar" sentiments in this moment, I blipped mine as well. You can see that it is focused on tomorrow and today - because I'm very excited about tomorrow but also must manage the dwindling hours of today in order to make tomorrow a smooth and pleasant one.

This is just one calendar I keep. This is my production calendar (a very helpful suggestion from Deb, actually), and it helps me map out all that I need to accomplish in the work world. I have a day planner I carry with me with personal stuff in it, and I recently acquired an NHRA planner that will be specific to NHRA events and go with me on the road. I am considering merging the NHRA calendar and the production calendar, as they are quite similar in nature. But the thing is that on the production calendar I have also listed out projected earnings, and I really don't want to carry that around with me. Money matters should be kept to oneself, I believe. Money makes people get all weird. Dislike.

Must get back to writing the Reichert story asap, and so here is my list for today.

5 things I'm thankful for:
1) My best friend. Today we had a very brief but intensely important exchange of words that alleviated a lot of the self-doubt I had swirling around in my head regarding a decision. I cannot believe how blessed I am in life. I really, really cannot believe it.
2) Seeing the confidence of my daughter as she laughed with friends. I saw a side to her that I haven't seen before. I've seen it - but it really registered today.
3) The sun going down. Why on earth does it have to be THIS hot in January!? YUCK!!!! I mean: thanks for setting, Mr. Sun. I appreciate the break from your intense rays.
4) Iced Caramel Macchiatto
5) Big, full moon. Gorgeous.

Back to work!
