Sundown at Llyn Tegid
Yesterday I passed my driving test!
I really wanted to get it done and dusted before I hit 40 next month and I'm chuffed that I managed it.
Today, I knew I had to keep up the momentum of driving, not fall back into old routines, grab this new found freedom and go to a place that would inspire me to keep driving.
So, I headed to Llyn Tegid, or Bala Lake. It's only about 30 mins drive and the mythology of the place inspires me. The story of the goddess Ceridwen, found in the Mabinogion, is based at Llyn Tegid and is a story of transformation. I felt this was a process I'm going through at the moment, so wanted to connect with the transfomative qualities of the place.
I arrived at sundown and walked a little way along the shores to be greeted by this picture.... absolutely stunning....
and when I looked the other way, my breath was taken away by the full moon rising above the lake.... I feel truly blessed
