GREAT EGRET

Oh goody, we had to go to the Social Security Office and prove we are, who we are, and who are we anyway?. Well, we had to show up in person, they would not share over the phone this big secret of why they needed to see hubby.

blah blah I got bored and went outside and found this amazing large white Great Egret in this small run off river that was full of people's discarded garbage, coffee cups, bag, cans, paper, icky, we are slobs. I profoundly believe it takes a lot of practice to become a moral slob.
William F. Buckley, Jr.

Their deathblow is delivered with a quick thrust of the sharp bill, and the prey is swallowed whole.
this bird was hunted to the brink of extinction for their feathers.
In the 1890s, outraged by the resultant destruction of the egret hunts, a group of Boston society women began gathering over tea to discuss what steps should be taken to save the birds and their habitat. From these talks the modern Audubon Society was born.
