Myrt's Beauty Shop

This corner shop has been "Myrt's" since I was 12! She must have varicose veins from standing so long if she's been doing hair that many years! The next shop used to be "Jack's Photo Service" which also had a ceramic shop. The owner gave me this fife when I was in high school and playing flute in the band. He and his wife are long gone, but my sister, cousins and I all have lasting memories from ceramic class every Saturday for many years. She only charged $1 for each class, then we paid for the piece we were going to paint.
One of my cousins would try to negotiate to get his dollar back. There was no doubt that he would be a good businessman someday!
