Summer

Hobart on the island of Tasmania in Australia, is a city of contrasts. The city is compact, the suburbs sprawled out into the bushy hills along the river. On my walk home (uphill) from uni, I saw this flower soaking up the afternoon sunshine. I love the shadows through the petals.

I enjoy photography, and have taken some pretty alright shots in the past with my humble little camera, but always find that if I think too hard about it, I fail. That's what happened today when I went looking for a brilliant shot for my first blip. And hopefully I'll develop the skills to take good photos intentionally but without pressure.
