First Glimpse

Today was an exciting day for our family...the day we had our first glimpse at the newest family member.

I really couldn't be more excited...after having a high risk pregnancy with my son and being bed ridden for almost 8 weeks, I have been a bit apprehensive with this pregnancy. All is well though...all measurements look spot on, and everything is where it should be :)

And no we did not find out the sex of the baby...after all, there really is nothing more special than hearing "It's a ...." from the doctor when the baby is born!

Another exciting bit of news...the due date was moved up 8 days!

My daughter was VERY excited to see this photo and will no doubt be taking a photo copy with her to school tomorrow. I found her "reading" her book, "The First Encyclopedia" at bedtime...she was turned to the section about "living in the womb." And that is what we read for bed...I just love her interest :)

*For those who have never seen or had an ultrasound, it is a bit strange looking (I can say that, being the mom, right!) The arm is on the left of the photo, almost hiding the baby's face, though you can see the profile. The baby was yawning in this photo. And beyond that, I really have no idea what anything is :)
