Slush-n-Mush

Stuck inside today due to horrible weather -- five inches of snow followed by an inch or so of falling slush followed by who-knows-how-much rain. Made the most of the mushy bananas by digging out my favorite banana bread recipe, generously passed on to me by my friend T. :

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups mashed bananas
1/4 cup buttermilk, yogurt, or sour cream

Oven 350 degrees.

1. Cream butter and sugar and then beat in egg.
2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.
3. Mix bananas and sour cream in another bowl.
4. Alternate adding dry and wet ingredients to butter and sugar, stirring just to combine.
5. Put in 9x5 pan sprayed w/ non-stick spray.
6. Bake 50-60 minutes.
7. Cool 10 min. in pan.

(My apologies to the rest of the modern world who uses metric measurements.)
